How to Apply for the Citizen's Academy

CITIZEN'S ACADEMY
 
 
 

The Linn County Sheriff's Office offers an eleven week Citizen's Academy open to any qualified and interested Linn County citizen. The Citizen's Academy offers a unique and detailed look into the dynamic operations of the Linn County Sheriff's Office.

Citizen's Academy students are introduced to each division and specialty team, and receive classroom instruction and hands on training in areas such as: criminal patrol, corrections, marine patrol, firearms, defensive tactics, traffic enforcement, narcotics investigations, swift water rescue and dive recovery, prisoner transport, emergency vehicle operation...just to name a few.

The atmosphere at the Linn County Sheriff's Office Citizen's Academy is fun and informative. Classes are taught by Linn County Sheriff's Office team members.

Tuesdays 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Classes will be held at the Sheriff's Office in Albany.
