It is the ongoing mission of the Linn County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue to save the lives of those lost or injured in the remote wildland areas of Linn County. We will provide a highly trained, highly motivated unit of unpaid professionals ready to respond to wilderness emergencies and assist the Linn County Sheriff's Office and the citizens of Linn County in any possible way, any time, any where, in any weather.
Our further responsibility as law enforcement officers is to provide positive role models and mentors to the youth of our unit. With our focus on commitment, self-sacrifice, duty, honor, and community service, we will provide the tools and the resources to help build the foundation of character our youth will need as adults. Our goal is not to take bad kids and turn them around, but to take good kids and make them better.
