Enforcement Goal: |

The Linn County Sheriff's Office, in joint cooperation
with the Oregon State Marine Board, strives to provide safe
and pleasurable boating on Oregon's waterways. The Linn County
Sheriff's Office strives to enhance boating safety by providing
high visibility on-water patrols and vigorous enforcement of
all boating laws. |

Composition: |

The Linn County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol
is comprised of one full time Marine Deputy, and three seasonal
Deputies that are employed during the summer months. Marine
Patrol currently has a fleet of two trucks, one North River
jet boat, one Almar jet boat, and one Willies drift boat. |

Training: |
|
| |
All Marine Deputies currently attend the Oregon
State Marine Board Marine Academy, which must be completed prior
to operating any of the boats. Marine Deputies are also given
specific training in areas of boat theft and identification,
accident investigation, and mandatory education. |
