Seniors And Law enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.)

  What is S.A.L.T.?
S.A.L.T. is an acronym for Seniors And Law enforcement Together. S.A.L.T. is a cooperative effort of the Linn County Sheriff's Office, Lebanon, Albany, and Sweet Home Police Departments and Linn County senior citizens.
  How does S.A.L.T. work?
A S.A.L.T. Council is a group made up of law enforcement representatives, senior citizens, and community organizations interested in seniors. S.A.L.T. groups meet regularly to discuss issues related to crime and its impact on seniors. The local S.A.L.T. groups focus on reducing the fear of crime and improving the quality of life for seniors.
  What can SALT do?

    - Safe And Secure Seniors Independent (SASSI) provides home security and fire safety inspections.
    - Develop programs to address the specific safety and security concerns of seniors.
