Work Crew Safety Rules and Regulations

Be advised that any failure to comply with the following regulations or directions given by a Work Crew Deputy may result in you serving the remainder of your sentence in the Linn County Jail.

  1. Inmate Work Crew is Tobacco Free. This includes electronic cigarettes and vape pens.
  2. No cell phones or any other electronic devices of any kind allowed. All workers and their property will be searched.
  3. Once you check in for work crew, DO NOT leave the property without approval from a deputy. You will not leave a job site at any time including lunch and break times.
  4. You are required to wear seat belts while riding in county vehicles.
  5. Do not exit a moving vehicle.
  6. Do not walk between the vehicle and the trailer.
  7. Always walk on the shoulder of the road outside of the white fog line.
  8. Never cross the road unless directed by a deputy.
  9. No backpacks or bags with multiple pockets. All food must be unopened or in a clear zip lock baggie.
  10. The following will be provided: water, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Always wear protective gear.
  11. You are responsible to supply your own rain gear and/or gloves, food, cup or water bottle to drink water with.
  12. You must wear a shirt and long pants. No sandals, shorts, tank tops or other open toed footwear will be allowed.
  13. Clothing displaying inappropriate images or profane language is not allowed.
  14. Always follow instructions given by the work crew supervisors.
  15. If you are injured, notify the deputy immediately. Appropriate incident forms must be filled out.
  16. Report to work crew clean and sober. NO drugs, alcohol or marijuana are permitted. Random drug and alcohol tests may be given.
  17. Firearms or weapons including pocketknives are not allowed.

 

COMPENSATORY WORK CREW REPORTING SITES AND TIMES:

Albany Pick-Up: Report to the front doors of the Linn County Sheriff’s Office & Jail 1115 Jackson St SE, Albany, OR 97322

Lebanon Pick-Up: Report to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office Substation 2590 S Main St, Lebanon, OR

Time: You are responsible to be at the pick-up area by 7:00 am and you will be returned around 4:00pm. Private vehicles may not be taken to the job site.

If you cannot report as ordered for any reason, please call the Linn County Compensatory Service Office at 541-967-3822 to reschedule. If you are bumped from work crew due to overcrowding of the van, you must call and reschedule. You will not receive credit unless you are sent home two times in a row.
