Our Emergency Operations Center:
When a major emergency strikes, the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activates at the Sheriff’s Office in Albany. The EOC brings together key agencies and resources under one roof to coordinate response efforts and protect our community.
Hazards We Plan For:
Linn County faces a range of natural and human-caused hazards, including:
- Wildfires
- Earthquakes
- Ice storms & winter weather
- Flooding
- Extended power outages
Preparedness isn’t just for first responders it starts with each of us.
Be Ready Before Disaster Strikes:
The single best thing you can do for your family is prepare before an emergency happens. Small steps — like building a supply kit, making a family communication plan, and knowing your local risks — can make a real difference when it matters most.
A great first step is using our Quick-Start Guide to Evacuation Readiness.
