Sheriff Michelle Duncan reports the Linn County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating Jasper Jade, a 35-year-old male who was last seen on October 10, 2026, in eastern Linn County.

On October 10th, 2026, a hunter contacted Jade who was with his vehicle on Parish Lake Road off Highway 22, east of Detroit.  Jade told the hunter he was experiencing vehicle problems and the hunter agreed to give the male a ride.  The hunter drove east on Parish Lake Road towards Highway 22 when Jade asked to be let out.  Jade was reported to be acting erratically and got out of the vehicle on the paved section of Parish Lake Road several miles from Highway 22 and began walking towards the Highway.

Based on the hunter’s call, deputies responded to the area and located Jade’s vehicle unoccupied near the end of Parish Lake Road.  Deputies had initially contacted the registered owner of the vehicle, who was a family member of Jade.  Jade was not reported as a missing person at that time.  After an initial search, it was unknown if Jade was able to get another ride into a nearby town or had found his way back home.  Later that evening, Jade was reported as missing from the Gresham area and entered into the missing person database by Gresham PD.

On October 13, deputies received a call from the registered owner of the vehicle, who had also reported Jade missing to Gresham PD after he failed to return home. Deputies continued searching roads and trails in the area but have been unable to locate Jade.

Jade is described as a white male, 5’09” tall and approximately 220 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a high visibility yellow jacket and purple pants.  Jade may be experiencing a mental health crisis.

Anyone who has seen Jade, or who may have given him a ride to another location since October 10th, is asked to contact the Linn County Sheriff’s Office at 541-967-3950 and reference case number 26-04010.
