Linn County Sheriff’s Office advises the public to avoid the area of Riverside Drive and Orleans Road, between Albany and Corvallis. The Sheriff’s Office is actively dealing with the report and discovery of blasting caps found at a home in the area. Coordination is underway with the Oregon State Police Bomb Squad, and an evacuation of several houses in the immediate area is taking place, as a precautionary measure.
The public is advised to use Oakville Road or Highway 99 to travel between Highway 34 and Albany. Traffic is being diverted from the impacted area.
