Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports last night on December 14, 2016, at 7:41 p.m., the Linn County 911 Dispatch Center received a call reporting a deceased white male had been located in the driveway of a single family residence on Scravel Hill Road, east of Albany. The caller stated the deceased male was unknown to him.
Linn County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Detectives responded to the scene and found the male lying on his back, covered with a thin layer of ice and snow.
The male is approximately, 55-60, 5’11”, 200 lbs., brown hair, hazel eyes and a full gray beard. He was in possession of a wallet with cash, but no photo identification. No abandoned vehicle was located in the area.
There is no indication of foul play. The investigation is ongoing and if anyone has information leading to the identity is encouraged to contact the Linn County Sheriff’s Office at 541.967.3950.
Deputies were assisted by members of the Albany Fire Department, Deputy Medical Examiner’s Office and Fisher Funeral Home.
