Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley is pleased to report that Craig Johnston was found safe this morning by deputies at 8:24 a.m.  Johnston was found near his residence and appeared to be in good health.  Sweet Home Fire Department responded and transported Johnston to the hospital for observation.

Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports his deputies are currently searching for Craig Johnston, 83, of Foster. At 5:10 this morning, Linn County Sheriff’s Office 9-1-1 Center received a telephone call from Johnston’s wife reporting him missing.

Johnston suffers from several medical issues including dementia. Johnston is believed to have walked away from his residence and is on foot in the area of North River Road and Foster Dam Road. Johnston is described as being 5’11” tall and weighs 145 Lbs. with gray hair and blue eyes. We do not have any clothing descriptions.

Linn County Deputies, Mountain Patrol, Search and Rescue and US Forest Service are currently searching the area. More information will follow as leads develop.
