Sergeant Dustin Frenzel and Captain Kevin Guilford presented a letter of appreciation, challenge coin and Sheriff’s Office patch to A.J. Amo. A.J. donated his handmade custom pens to recognize our top DUII investigators for 2017. Recognized were: Deputy Aaron Elliott, Deputy Kyle Connelly and Detective Matt Wilcox.
What makes this donation special is A.J.’s story. A.J. was born with Down Syndrome. His family has encouraged him to believe in himself and he has successfully held down a job at Subway and has ventured into making custom-made pens. A.J. donated these very special pens to our three deputies for their work in making Linn County roads safer. A card with his story was included with each pen. His commitment to support law enforcement is greatly appreciated.
