Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports an inmate has died as a result of what appears to be a suicide. On Thursday April 11, at approximately 11:23 p.m., Joseph William Hadley, 46, of Albany, was found by corrections deputies alone in his cell while conducting routine cell checks. Deputies immediately began CPR and called for Medics. The Albany Fire Department responded and continued CPR and life saving measures, but was unsuccessful.
Per standard protocol, Sheriff Yon requested Marion County Sheriff’s Office to conduct the investigation in conjunction with the Linn County Medical Examiner’s Office. AAsum -Dufour Funeral Home transported Hadley.
Hadley was in custody for numerous drug charges, Felon in Possession of Restricted Weapons and two holds for Marion County.
