Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon is releasing the name of the driver of the jet ski that struck two small children, killing one, on July 20, at Lewis Creek Park on Foster Reservoir, east of Sweet Home.
The driver of the 2020 Sea-Doo was Antonio Cassanova-Gonzalez, 23, from Salem. Cassanova-Gonzalez has been cooperative for the entirety of the investigation. He consented to testing and no drugs or alcohol were found in his system.
The investigation has been turned over to the Linn County District Attorney’s Office for review.
