Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports his deputies responded to a report of a Missing Person from the Sweet Home area. Jacob Riggs, 28, from Sweet Home, was reported missing by his family yesterday at 1:17 p.m. He was last seen by a family member on the evening of Tuesday, March 23, near Gedney Creek Boat Ramp at Foster Lake. A citizen found belongings, including identification for Riggs near the edge of the lake and turned them into Sweet Home Police Department.
Linn County Deputies, including Marine Patrol and Search and Rescue personnel have been searching the area since yesterday afternoon. Riggs’ family is extremely worried about him. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Linn County Sheriff’s Office at (541) 967-3950.
