Linn County Sheriff Michelle Duncan reports on September 10, 2023, at 4:10 a.m., Linn County Dispatch received a report of flames coming from a hay barn on Highway 228 west of Brownsville. Fire personnel and deputies responded to the area of Highway 228 near Keeney Road and found a large hay barn fully engulfed in flames.
The fire continues to burn due to the large amount of hay in the structure. Deputies will continue to investigate as leads develop and more information becomes available from the Oregon State Fire Marshalls Office.
