Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports the search for the lost mushroom picker Oliver Mercer has entered the second full day. Over 20 members of Linn County Search and Rescue are currently on scene searching the area. The Lane County Sheriff’s Office has sent several SAR members to assist and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office will be sending resources later today. Also, ground teams are being assisted by air assets provided by the Oregon Army National Guard and REACH (Reach Air Medical Services).
